Abusive supervision in healthcare is a growing concern with far-reaching consequences for both healthcare workers and patient safety. This chapter explores how abusive supervision leads to negative outcomes across various dimensions, including motivation, affective responses, cognitive processes, relationships, behavior, health and well-being, patient safety, and organizational performance. The ethical implications of abusive supervision are also examined, particularly how it violates core professional values such as respect, fairness, and responsibility. Strategies to address the issue are discussed, including early detection, leadership training, and the establishment of robust support systems for affected staff. The CARES framework is introduced as a practical tool to help healthcare organizations cultivate a culture of respect, empowerment, and accountability, ultimately advocating for a systemic shift toward ethical leadership and improved organizational practices, to protect both staff well-being and patient care quality.

摘要
