Fluid Dynamics in Concentrated Solar Power Systems
摘要
Fluid dynamics is paramount to the efficiency, reliability, and performance of Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) systems. The behaviour of heat transfer fluids (HTFs) is critical for optimizing heat transfer, minimizing thermal losses, and maintaining system integrity under high-temperature conditions across various CSP configurations, including parabolic troughs, solar power towers, linear Fresnel reflectors, and Dish Stirling systems. Each design presents unique fluid dynamic challenges: parabolic troughs leverage turbulent flow for efficiency, solar power towers demand precise flow control, linear Fresnel reflectors require uniform distribution, and Dish Stirling systems necessitate advanced thermodynamic management. Key challenges involve high-temperature stability and degradation of HTFs, corrosion and erosion in components, and effective thermal stress management. Addressing these issues requires innovative solutions, such as advanced materials, optimized heat exchanger designs, and intelligent thermal management systems. Ultimately, the study and optimization of fluid dynamics are vital for advancing CSP technology and enhancing its viability as a renewable energy source. By continuously improving fluid behaviour and tackling operational complexities, CSP systems can achieve higher efficiencies, extended lifespans, and make substantial contributions to sustainable energy generation.
