Biomaterials are defined as any substance or a combination of natural or synthetic materials designed to interact with biological systems with the purpose of correcting, augmentation, or substitution of any missing volume or tissue in the human body. On our daily practice as Plastic Surgeons, we receive patients in consultation who have submitted themselves to “aesthetic filling procedures” in their bodies by either non-certified or certified personnel in order to achieve a “quick, cheap, easy, and no-surgical aesthetical procedures.” I present in this analysis from 2008 to 2022 the most frequent local and systemic clinical symptoms and signs in our clinic.
