Facial aging involves volume reduction and skin changes, causing aesthetic problems. Consequently, fillers are used to correct these aging processes, including aesthetic situations involving facial asymmetries. Currently, there is a significant evolution in the prevention or improvement of signs of facial aging through new aesthetic surgical methods and mildly invasive non-surgical interventions. Particularly regarding the appearance of fatigue or haziness caused by dark circles, these represent a significant aesthetic nuisance, having a significant impact on quality of life. However, several causes are involved in etiology and identifying each is essential for appropriate treatment. Therefore, fillers can positively restore contours and rejuvenate the face. This chapter provides a brief introduction to fillers and describes the most commonly used fillers in Brazil, their advantages, clinical effects, and complications, as well as the initial stage of use and the reasons for their use.
