Injection-Induced Diseases: A Global Problem
摘要
Injection-induced diseases pertain to injuries resulting from the injection of synthetic substances into the human body, typically for aesthetic purposes. This practice has existed for over 120 years, with a boom in First-World countries between 1960 and 1990. Global migration from countries affected by this scourge to developed countries has increased exponentially, and people, seemingly “healthy,” began to arrive in droves in the First World, seeking better living conditions. This scenario is happening today in developed countries. This is a reality of our times, so if doctors from First-World countries do not train to treat these complex pathologies, the problem will be huge, and the costs will be astronomical for the countries that receive the migrants. It is essential to raise awareness that diseases caused by injections of silicone, paraffin, or other substances to modify body contour are included within the avoidable and preventable diseases.
