Stress Testing Urban Planning for Resilience: A Methodology
摘要
In this chapter the methodology that has been designed, developed and applied to a case study is explained and the rationale behind choices on selected approach, modifications to existing frameworks and tools are discussed. First an outline on how the concept of resilience applied to cities and to spatial planning is briefly recalled, highlighting the need to consider its multiscale temporal and spatial character. To do so two methods have been used and blended together to operationalize the evaluation of urban resilience: the resilience matrix and the stress testing. In the last part of the chapter the operational steps to apply the replicable methodology to different case studies are presented.
