Optimising Adhesion
摘要
This chapter will identify the key aspects of the bonding process and explain the relevant steps in ensuring that the bond to tooth tissue is as optimal as possible to ensure the success of treatment. The ‘bonding stack’ concept will be described, where each stage of the process relies on the preceding one for success, and if compromised, opens the avenue for failure. Management strategies of the dentine and enamel substrate surfaces are proposed, where cleanliness should be achieved to promote a consistent and ideal bond. The adhesive process is outlined, providing insight into restoration delivery but also the replacement of restorations.
