Development of an Energy Monitoring and Management Platform for Smart Grids
摘要
Smart grids have become the basis for the integration of new technologies into electrical modern systems. Renewable energies, storage systems, advanced communications and automation are part of these advancements, and to safely optimize their interaction requires the incorporation of complex methodologies. In addition to this, the constant growth and diversification in the demand for electrical energy in industrial, commercial and residential areas has increased the difficulty of managing energy in a reliable way. Therefore, the research for solutions to facilitate the incorporation of these systems has become an essential task for the energy sector. This paper investigates the development of alternatives and tools to implement energy management systems via digital platforms and the integration of PLC and SCADA to optimize the operation of the electrical networks. Based on this, a microgrid (MG) model is developed which will be tested through simulations to investigate the viability and functionality of this type of configuration. Subsequently, an energy management platform is designed to visualize and manage the data of the behavior of the system.
