This theoretical article aims to reflect on the presence of digital technologies in all spheres of life and their influence on the formation of subjectivities and identities. To this end, we examine the challenges and potentials of digital literacy offered by the YouTube video platform, using the concepts of cultural industry and Halbbildung as categories of analysis. Educators have used this platform to disseminate information and stimulate learning through the virtual environment, but on the other hand, mostly consumerist practices are widely disseminated in this space, mainly aimed at children, mixing entertainment and education to create an unsustainable modus operandi that takes effect with the very development of children and adolescents. Thinking about an education that is coherent with contemporary demands, but that also understands digital technologies as essential for the constitution of citizenship, we propose to broaden the concept of digital literacy by linking it to other literacies, with the aim of promoting more ethical, healthy, and responsible interactions.

摘要
