The Road Ahead: Future Directions in Green Finance—Global Collaboration and Trends for Climate Action
摘要
This chapter considers the potential of green finance to deliver deep transformations in response to climate change and the challenge of promoting sustainable development. It surveys key financial instruments, including green bonds, sustainability-linked loans, and carbon markets, demonstrating their growing application in the energy, transport, and industry sectors. The discussion emphasises the role of multilateral organisations and public policy in shaping the environment for green finance and mobilising investment. Changing trends, including financial technology use, nature-based solutions, and transition finance, are considered new levers to speed up decarbonisation. Heterogeneous data standards, greenwashing risks, and regulatory divergence remain the major limiting factors. The chapter calls for greater international collaboration and nimble governance to unlock the most significant green finance value in facilitating global climate goals.
