This book’s first chapter provides a basic review of climate change, following its beginnings from pre-industrial times to the present (up to 2025). It describes how global warming and its related effects, including rising sea levels, extreme weather events, and biodiversity loss, are caused by industrialization, namely the combustion of fossil fuels, which has resulted in a major increase in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Although there has been natural climatic variability for millennia, human activity is primarily responsible for the current rapid changes. Carbon footprint calculation must be adopted in all types of human activities to plan emission reduction strategies. The Paris Agreement based on nationally determined contributions (NDCs) and the Kyoto Protocol, COPs 21 to 29 seek to coordinate international efforts to combat climate change by providing financial assistance to vulnerable countries and legally binding obligations. The story promotes a switch to renewable energy sources and increased energy efficiency across businesses, highlighting the need for cutting-edge technologies and environmentally friendly behaviors. International cooperation is highly needed because climate change transcends national boundaries and calls for a coordinated response. If all countries do not act decisively and cooperatively, the effects of climate change will be disastrous, and urgent action is required to ensure a sustainable future.

摘要
