The soundscape approach opens up a new way of making the acoustic environment a resource. The soundscape approach adopts an approach to the whole environment where both the desirable and undesirable sounds can be accessed. This approach helps people living in the particular area feel in terms of the sound quality of the environment. The soundscape approach assessment plays a critical role in creating a healthier environment where a healthy and safe environment is created. The rapidly developing urban cities must have a soundscape assessment to create a healthy environment for their citizens. YSR Kadapa City is rapidly growing, with rapid developments taking place in the city. The present study is conducted to assess the soundscape assessment for the major centres in the YSR Kadapa city, where both residential and commercial residents are living. The results show that due to poor urban planning, the residential and commercial buildings are located merging into each other’s spaces, making the environment noisier and less healthy for the people who are living in the environment. Even though the people are facing a noisy environment due to the location of their houses being at the centre of the city, they are habituated to living in such environments. The results show that the high value of the location plays a critical role in where people are habituated to live, making them adjust to living in environments with disturbing noises.
