We are living in a technologically advanced era where Artificial Intelligence (AI) and deep learning techniques are taking over the working environment to another advanced level. However, when it comes to developing countries such as India, the AI implementation remains at a stagnant position. The available research on AI acceptance and adoption is fewer when it comes to primarily focusing on the developing nations such as India. The present research explores the AI acceptance and adoption in HR administration of the higher education sector. It is seen that there is a clear gap in AI acceptance and implementation. There is general awareness of AI, but it lags when it comes to accepting it for implementation. A clear need for AI promotion and inculcation in the work environment of higher education is evaluated.
