Introduction
摘要
This chapter provides an overview of the research on hydrogen integration in energy systems. It begins by discussing the role of hydrogen in future energy systems and the key motivations. It then introduces the structural transition from traditional energy systems to hydrogen-integrated energy systems, with ever-increasing penetration of renewable energy and coupling between electricity and gas systems. By reviewing the political landscapes and ongoing demonstration projects across various countries and regions, the development of hydrogen blending is explored in detail. The chapter also outlines the primary challenges associated with hydrogen blending in existing energy systems and reviews the current state-of-the-art research addressing these issues. Lastly, it highlights the unresolved challenges and research gaps, and presents the overall structure of the book.
