The acceleration of technological disruption, driven by digital transformation and the adoption of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, has generated both opportunities and challenges for the future of work. This study presents the findings of a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) based on documents retrieved from the Scopus database published between 2020 and 2024. The aim was to identify the key skills required for individuals to thrive in digitally disrupted environments. The analysis reveals that, beyond technical proficiency, competencies such as complex thinking, adaptability, creativity, and lifelong learning are essential to meet the evolving demands of organizations. The review also highlights critical technological trends—including automation, knowledge work, and data-driven decision-making—that are transforming business operations and labor dynamics. Furthermore, the study emphasizes the dual impact of technology, which enhances efficiency and flexibility but may also deepen inequalities, increase job precarity, and affect well-being. The results underscore the urgent need to redesign education and training strategies through inclusive, adaptive, and ethically grounded approaches to prepare resilient workforces. This research offers recommendations for educators, policymakers, and organizational leaders aiming to close the skills gap and foster sustainable development in an era of constant technological change.
