The result is a raft of advisory opinions in recent years by the world’s highest courts about the rights and duties of states and corporations related to climate changeClimate change. The opinions have also produced greater clarity and definition about climate changeClimate change responsibilities of states and corporations. Some of the more notable opinions are described below.
