A transition to sustainable transportation is underway. With significant advances in electric vehiclesElectric Vehicles (EVs) (EVs) and cleaner sources of electric power, highway transportation is less polluting per mile traveled. At the same time, progress toward electrification of cars and trucks faces challenges. There’s a need to build-out new charging infrastructures, to integrate power and transport systems, to develop supply chains for critical materials, and to convert the car industry to new product lines (CAETS 2024).
