This chapter discusses how the disproportionate impacts of climate change on women infringe upon the principles of reproductive freedom and full bodily autonomy, and explores how the reproductive justice framework provides a set of principles to examine the unique impacts of climate change on women. These principles are discussed through a summary of American slavery and the origins of gynecology, eugenics and reproductive coercion, case law, the reproductive justice movement, the theory of intersectionality, relational autonomy, and continued bodily autonomy regulation.
