摘要

Annotation. The dipole resonator is an effective scatterer of sound waves. Maximum scattering occurs only at one frequency - the resonator’s own frequency. In this work, a two-mode dipole resonator with two eigenfrequencies, at which the sound field is scattered, is experimentally investigated. The resonator is made in the form of a tube, short compared to the wavelength, one end of which is covered with a membrane, while the other end is free. At the same time, a load is attached to the membrane, which significantly affects its eigenmodes of oscillation. It is shown that there are at least two modes at which the resonator creates dipole scattering. The results of experiments on reducing the noise emitted from an open narrow tube into free space are presented.
