This section presents two examples of one-dimensional bar problems. The first example covers a cantilevered bar which is loaded by a constant distributed load. The second example considers the same support condition but the load is a single force at one end. Both examples are treated based on three different approximate methods, i.e,. the finite element method, the finite difference method and the boundary element method. All the results are compared to the exact analytical solution.

摘要

This section presents two examples of one-dimensional bar problems. The first example covers a cantilevered bar which is loaded by a constant distributed load. The second example considers the same support condition but the load is a single force at one end. Both examples are treated based on three different approximate methods, i.e,. the finite element method, the finite difference method and the boundary element method. All the results are compared to the exact analytical solution.
