The individual aspects of process management are described using suitable models. To do this, the respective elements of a model and their relationships to one another are identified. They form the basis for developing a corresponding descriptive language. This language can be used to describe process systems from a specific perspective. In addition to the general aspects of modeling, examples of models relating to social/organizational, business, and technical or information technology aspects are outlined. Essential to process descriptions are the relationships between the models of the individual aspects. These relationships must be captured to obtain a holistic view.
