Road fatalities caused by road accidents and risky driving are a worrying global problem. The World Health Organization reports over 1 million deaths per year, with these accidents being the leading cause of death among children and young people aged 5 to 29. Many studies argue that drivers’ emotional intelligence can prevent risky driving. The current study proposes an AI-based model that, through continuous assessment and training, aims to improve drivers’ emotional intelligence. The model uses virtual reality to simulate situations that help drivers recognize and manage their emotions and respond appropriately on the road. It is expected that this will reduce aggression and intolerance on the road and make roads safer.
