Lighting quality and intensity are crucial in creating suitable working conditions in industrial halls, influencing overall employee well-being and productivity. Inadequately designed lighting, particularly glare, can lead to fatigue, decreased efficiency, and a heightened risk of workplace accidents. This paper presents a case study focusing on the assessment of visual comfort in an industrial hall with a roof skylight. Solar radiation penetrating the skylight leads to excessive luminance and significant glare within the workspace. A simulation-based solution involving a screen cover for the skylight is proposed. The study aims to evaluate the impact of this proposed solution on glare levels and overall working conditions within the industrial hall interior. Simulation results demonstrate how covering the skylight contributed to improving the visual comfort of the workspace. This study provides practical insights for designing and optimizing lighting in industrial spaces. Furthermore, it can serve as a model for further research aimed at improving working conditions and increasing workplace productivity.
