The Dynamic Analysis of the Cryogenic Tank in Different Fluid Level Conditions
摘要
The prime goal of the article is to present the results of the numerical analysis of the cryogenic tank, which is subjected to vibrations caused by the earthquake. The whole model includes the following elements: the inner steel tank, the steel floating roof inside this inner tank, the fluid – Liquefied Natural Gas, which fills in the inner tank, the external reinforced concrete tank with prestressing and the three-dimensional layer of insulation, which is located between the bottoms of the above-mentioned tanks. The bottom of the inner tank consists of four material layers and the bottom of the external tank is modelled as a single-layered shell. The floating roof covers the free surface of the liquid and changes its location in the z-direction during the earthquake. The different levels of fluids were considered: 75%, 50% and 25% of the capacity of the inner tank. The dynamic analysis was conducted in the time domain. The study’s results are shown in the tables and the graphs.
