The need to create a system of quality service for truck owners arose in connection with the implementation of reforms in the railway transport of Ukraine. The main goal of the reform is to ensure the sustainable functioning of railway transport in the service market, to increase the commercial efficiency and quality of transport services. This work is aimed at determining the sources of additional income of JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” through the provision of services related to the use of wagons outside of Ukraine. On the basis of studies of the main aspects of the income’s formation of JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” branches from fees for the use of wagons outside Ukraine, the factors that affect the incomes of regional branches were established. According to the results of the analysis of the regulatory framework and the scientific and methodological approach to the management of the use of freight wagons for international transportation outside the countries where the railway enterprises-owners of the wagons are registered, additional sources of income from freight transportation were determined for the first time. The obtained results enable JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” to make appropriate changes to multilateral and bilateral agreements regarding the use of wagons outside of Ukraine with carriers of other countries or cargo owners. This is extremely relevant in the period of reforming railway transport and the formation of vertically integrated structures of farm management.
