The Role of Religious Principles in Determining the Level of Internal Relations of Family Companies
摘要
Religion is a phenomenon that manifests in all areas of life and affects both individual and social structures and relationships. Religion has an impact on an individual's attitudes, perceptions, beliefs, and values, and it also has significant effects on interpersonal relationships. In this context, the effects of religious beliefs and practices on the family are also important. The role of the family in the survival and preservation of religious values is as important as the influence of religion in the protection of the family. In the literature, family businesses are seen as value-based organizations. Such value orientations differentiate family businesses from other businesses by influencing their perceptions of success, what is considered ethical and what their business priorities are. The religious beliefs values to which a family adheres affect how family members think and behave in their daily work practices. It shapes both the relationships between family members and their relationships with their closest stakeholders, employees, and customers. In this study, the effects of religious principles and beliefs on the relations of individuals in a family business, as well as their common acceptance within the family, were investigated. In the qualitative research although the interpretations of the beliefs and approaches to religious routines were different, almost all participants believed in the same religion. In addition, as a result of the research, it has been seen that family members are united around common religious values such as being fair, benevolent, human-oriented, respecting their employees and customers, developing relationships based on respect and love within the family, and making this the management policy of the company, being an honest and fraud-free person, and respecting the beliefs of qualified employees. They manage the company around these common values.
