The main goal of the Future Railway Mobile Communication System (FRMCS) is to digitize railway operations, enabling automation and improved safety and reliability. The existing FRMCS standards define the user requirements based on analysis of different use cases and describe the architecture of the FRMCS system. The security-related requirements are briefly commented on without focusing on implementation details. Insofar as the realization of the FRMCS system is expected to be in a form of service-based architecture, this paper identifies the required services for FRMCS user authentication and authorization and proposes an approach to design a RESTful service for functional alias management.
