Energy grids are experiencing increased demand due to factors like population growth, economic expansion, and the need for more supply and demand. Alongside this rising demand, there is a challenge to maintain sustainability and offer sustainable solutions to current energy needs. Simultaneously, the rise and growing significance of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) are enhancing productivity and efficiency in various tasks. These AI-ML capabilities can be applied to energy management and distribution. With numerous machine learning algorithms available, energy productivity can be improved, and its distribution and management can be effectively handled. However, when employing artificial intelligence to study and optimize energy distribution, several other considerations must be taken into account, such as economic factors, addressing technical challenges, and, as previously mentioned, sustainable solutions. Recently, AI, in conjunction with cloud computing and blockchain, has been actively involved. To solve each other’s problems. AI and Blockchain can be used to manage energy trading. We have emphasized the significance and application of specific machine learning algorithms that are applicable in energy management, especially regarding the AI-ML in energy management, with an attention to blockchain and cloud computing. Additionally, we have also discussed the problems with using AI and how to tackle them.
