Fifth Wheel Car Parking
摘要
To park in parallel with other parked automobiles is to use the “parallel parking” technique. To parallel park, you must first drive just beyond the parking place, maintain a safe distance from the parked car in front of you, and then reverse into the space. The use of forward and backward gears may be necessary for any further position adjustments. Many novice drivers find that learning to parallel park is the most challenging skill they must master. When compared to forward parking, parallel parking allows drivers to park in much smaller spaces. Unless two adjacent parking spots are vacant, it is usually not feasible to drive forward into a roadside parking spot. If you want to park in a place that’s only slightly longer than your vehicle and still give yourself three wheel-turns to reach your destination, you should look for a location that’s approximately 1.5 car lengths long and use the parallel parking method to back into it.
