Degenerate MIMO: Lossy Multi-Connectivity
摘要
This chapter presents finite blocklength analyses of point-to-point lossy multi-connectivity with quasi-static fading. Multi-connectivity models the case where multiple independent transmission links are available between the transmitter and the receiver, which is a special case of multiple-input multiple-output where all antennas transmit the same channel input and the channel state information matrix is full rank. This chapter considers joint source-channel coding. The main result of this chapter is the low-latency performance of for lossy multi-connectivity. A take-home message is that two independent links improve transmission reliability significantly while the performance gain of further increasing the number of links degrades. The readers can learn coding schemes for lossy multi-connectivity and its low-latency theoretical performance.
