The article explores current trends in the use of artificial intelligence (AI) and flexible teaching formats in higher education. It investigates how AI tools can support personalized learning, increase student engagement, and potentially reduce drop-out rates by offering data-driven, adaptive educational solutions. Drawing from both theoretical foundations and original survey data collected from students and academic staff at the Wroclaw University of Economics and Business, this review highlights preferences and concerns regarding the implementation of AI in teaching. The findings provide a foundation for evidence-based recommendations aimed at enhancing educational quality and student satisfaction in the context of higher education’s digital transformation.
