Artificial Intelligence vs. Human Creativity from an Idea Management Perspective
摘要
A within-subjects study compared the idea generation performance of human teams and AI under different configurations, using both quantitative and qualitative analyses to assess their outputs. AI consistently outperformed human teams in generating a greater number of ideas. Notably, a neutral AI—unbiased and drawing from extensive datasets—produced the highest volume of ideas, confirming its strength in generating diverse solutions rapidly. Human-generated ideas scored higher in feasibility and contextual depth, reflecting a refined understanding of real-world constraints. This chapter contributes to the field by exploring the potential of web-based idea management through an experiment comparing human and AI-generated ideas. Evaluating the strengths and limitations of each offers insights to help better navigate the integration of AI in future idea management practices.
