Motivating Language in Educational Settings

This chapter will discuss the implementation of motivating language theory in educational settings ranging from K-12 education to higher education, from teacher to administrator, and from within the United States to across the globe. The chapter will highlight select research across the field of motivating language theory. Additionally, the chapter will provide a framework for implementation focusing on the roles within education, such as teacher, principal, and superintendent, and important factors within education, such as culture, supervision, relationships, and change. Finally, the chapter will conclude with an exploration of next steps in order to expand the theory within the field of education.
