Transitioning from Science to Business: Equipping Scientists for Industrial Commercialisation
摘要
This short conference paper highlights a pragmatic skillset required for the transition from the laboratory to business. These skills allow researchers to commercialise products and contribute to societal advancement. An entrepreneurial attitude, efficient use of resources, cross-disciplinary synergy, science communication, business networking, and intellectual property (IP) management represent an essential skillset for translating scientific research into industrial commercialisation. By bridging the gap between the laboratory and the market in an ethical manner, scientists can create both personal value and achieve meaningful societal impact.
