This concluding chapter provides a reminder of the current political context and the danger of rising intolerance. It summarises the main points presented in the book, highlighting the importance of teaching tolerance and empathy, and the efficacy of social psychology and sociological approaches in doing so, including resources for embedding this into curricula and ways of measuring the impact. Reference is made to the TEEMA resources; the Adolescent Scale of Ethnocultural Empathy as a measuring tool, and the usefulness of the Conceptual Framework of Tolerance for Community Cohesion.
