This project presents the development of a computer vision-based system designed to monitor, evaluate, and improve in real time the hand hygiene technique of healthcare personnel in critical clinical settings. The system integrates facial biometric authentication, gesture evaluation using computer vision algorithms, and interactive graphical interfaces. Functional tests were conducted in a simulated environment, where an average compliance rate of 72.5% and a success rate of 60% were observed. This work contributes an accessible technological solution that enables objective, individualized monitoring of hand hygiene protocols, with a view toward future implementation in real healthcare environments.
