This retrospective and descriptive study aimed to standardize and optimize corrective maintenance tasks in the Electromedicine Department of the Technical Coordination Directorate, responsible for medical technology technical support in the Tucumán Provincial Health System. A total of 2,400 work orders recorded between July 2023 and April 2025 were analyzed using the FCC failure cause classification model. This methodology allowed for structuring technical information, identifying recurrence patterns, and linking failures to operational, territorial, and seasonal factors. Likewise, the implemented actions were analyzed and compared with the corrective proposals established in the ISO 14224 standard. The most significant results included improved process traceability, the generation of strategic indicators, and the identification of specific technical training needs. Record standardization also strengthened a common technical language, improving report quality and facilitating future analysis. In conclusion, the applied model allowed for the consolidation of an efficient, evidence-based management tool focused on equipment availability, with high potential for replicability in other health systems that provide medical technology maintenance services.
