Development of a Comprehensive Information Platform for the Management of Clinical Engineering Services in a Southeastern Buenos Aires Municipality

This paper aims to analyze the opportunities for implementing Digital Transformation within a public health sector. It presents the development of guidelines, requirements, and technical specifications for a Comprehensive Information Platform designed to support the management of Clinical Engineering services in a municipality of Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. The platform facilitates the administration of equipment usage, procurement, asset lifecycle, and predictive, corrective, and preventive maintenance, encompassing both tangible resources (hardware) and intangible assets (software). The specification design was developed collaboratively with the Clinical Engineering department at a municipal diagnostic center, which is responsible for maintaining the equipment used by the local of Health Department.
