Digital Documentation of Ecclesiastical Cultural Heritage: Insights from the NARRATE Project
摘要
This paper describes the initial findings of the NARRATE project. The project aims to bridge the gap between ecclesiastical heritage and digital preservation, focusing on the symbolic, artistic, and ceremonial value of these treasures in Christian worship and rituals. NARRATE seeks to decode and document the religious dimensions of these objects, contextualizing their significance within their respective religious practices through extensive surveys. This paper presents the significant findings from these surveys, outlining guidelines and best practices for the documentation of ecclesiastical cultural heritage. Additionally, it highlights current studies at the critical intersection of religious heritage and advanced technologies.
