This paper details the creation and pilot evaluation of two novel applications within the CAnTi project, aimed at enriching the visitor experience in the Acropolis of Tiryns. The first is an educational mixed-reality application that blurs the lines between the physical site and digital augmentation, offering a layered educational experience that visualizes the conservation and historical narratives of the monuments. The second is an educational virtual reality application that recreates the site in a fully immersive digital environment, providing visitors with interactive scenarios to explore various aspects of archaeological conservation and restoration. Pilot testing with site visitors has yielded valuable insights into user engagement and interaction, indicating a positive reception and enhanced educational value. This paper explores the implications of these findings for the preservation of cultural heritage and discusses how such interactive tools can significantly improve public understanding of the diagnosis, conservation, and restoration of historical sites.
