Within the Lab in Virtuo project, Techn’hom Time Machine aims to offer a digital reconstruction of a former industrial district of Belfort (France). It includes the Dollfus-Mieg et Compagnie (DMC) spinning mill, active from 1879 to 1959. This digital model, allowing navigation through time in the industrial site, is intended to integrate not only buildings, but also machines and activities, and allow interactions with the “visitor”. The project integrates more than thirty engineering students from University of Technology of Belfort-Montbéliard within the framework of several courses on all aspects of the project, making this restitution a co-construction between research and teaching staff and the students. They were able to discover or train on Revit, Catia or Unity software, or work on triplestore databases and ontologies. This article provides a progress report on this project, started in 2019, and is designed to be put into perspective with other articles concerning the Lab in Virtuo project in this volume.
