All the content of the previous chapters is brought together. Specifically, the claims made in the previous chapters are reiterated and given more empirical support. Ultimate reality (which is also a limited descriptor because the true ultimate reality cannot be described or labeled) is argued to be an unknowable (but realizable) reality that all conventional and objective realities arise and fall from. Realizing one’s true nature as this ultimate reality leads to the end of psychological suffering, because mechanistically speaking awakening is not possible until the causes for psychological suffering have been removed. All spiritual philosophies that lead to awakening show, in their own unique ways, that the realization of ultimate reality is the true path. Overall, science and spirituality both converge by nature of showing the limits of conventional and objective reality, that what we truly are is ultimate reality, and complete realization of one’s nature as ultimate reality involves the ending of psychological suffering.

摘要
