“Sailing World Champion, Founder & Managing Director”, the career of Johann “Hans” Spitzauer is remarkable in several ways. First, he took part in five Olympic Games and is one of the most successful sailors in Austria (Finn and Star classes). He was recognized as the nation’s leading Finn sailor during the first three Olympic Games of his career (1988, 1992, and 1996) and achieved his best result at the Atlanta 1996 Olympics, narrowly missing the podium with a fourth-place finish.
