In both the emergency room and the outpatient environment, patients often complain of headaches and facial pain. In a person’s lifetime, more than 90% will experience a headache. There are three basic headache syndromes, and the majority of patients who come in complaining of a headache have one of them: tension headache, cluster headache, or migraine. Nevertheless, the doctor must take into account a plethora of additional potential causes of facial pain and headaches.
