Treatment and Rehabilitation of Occupational and Overuse-Related ENT Pain
摘要
The human body’s ear, nose, and throat are exposed to many industrial hazards, such as noise, fluctuations in atmospheric pressure, allergens, carcinogens, and trauma. Occupational voice disorders, in particular hearing loss and pathologies of the upper respiratory tract, are the most common problems. Occupational diseases may be prevented by creating awareness among employees and the general public for occupational health and safety with training programs and control of exposure and the use of personal protective equipment. Upon the determination that occupational diseases are irreversible, employees’ symptoms must be reduced, and their quality of life must be improved with appropriate rehabilitation programs.
