Aromatherapy is one of the oldest practices for the treatment of various illnesses. Aromatherapy uses essential oils and their pharmacological properties, administered directly or indirectly. The objective of researching the areas in which it is applicable has increased recently. This increase has resulted in the emergence of new specializations. Aromatherapy is one of these specialized areas. Otorhinolaryngology is also a medical area attracting the attention of physicians and a variety of patients who experience problems ranging from frequent upper respiratory tract infections to tumors. The subjective findings of decreased patient comfort and patient dissatisfaction from the treatments used in our area for a long time have led some physicians to seek solutions in alternative medicine. Additionally, the fact that more patients prefer noninvasive, conservative treatments has increased the popularity of aromatherapy. In this chapter, essential oils that have the potential to be used in the treatment of problems with the ears, eyes, nose, and throat, as well as their forms and application methods, are presented. However, the literature on this subject still needs to be improved, and several dose adjustments and applications are considered risky. Therefore, the chapter will contribute to safely using this specific treatment method and provide essential knowledge for conducting investigations.
