Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRIs)
摘要
Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) are the most commonly used class of psychotropics in canine veterinary psychiatry. In cats, the challenge of administering medication often limits their prescription. Serotonin plays a central role in numerous circuits, and the action of SSRIs on serotonin makes this class of drugs valuable for treating a wide range of pathological states.
