Performing artists are at risk for burnout and performance anxiety. Resilience training can reduce the risk of burnout and addresses physical, emotional, cognitive, and spiritual aspects of life. Resilience can improve an individual’s response to negative events, such as personal loss, perceived “failures,” or physical injury. Furthermore, a resilience practice increases the likelihood of a successful evolution when life transitions occur.
