Where is the moral indignation over corporate crime? This was the question posed by American criminologist William Laufer in his identically titled 2014 publication. With this, he sparked a reflection on the insufficient moral disapproval within the criminal justice system towards irregularities carried out by corporations and the failure of corporate criminal law in the prosecution and punishment of corporate crime. Consequently, there is a current need to focus on corporate responsibility for its socially harmful activities.
