The Role of Blockchain in Intellectual Property (IP) Protection and Enforcement: A Global Perspective
摘要
In a fast-changing digital world, protecting and enforcing Intellectual Proper-ty (IP) rights has become increasingly challenging. With the advent of globalization, digital transformation, and the proliferation of online platforms, intellectual property protection faces obstacles such as piracy, counterfeit goods, and difficulties in determining ownership. Blockchain technology presents a viable answer to these problems by providing a safe, transparent, and decentralized means for registering, tracking, and enforcing intellectual property rights. This article investigates the role of blockchain in improving worldwide IP protection and enforcement, including its potential impact on copyright, trademarks, patents, and trade secrets. It also looks at the legal and legislative hurdles of incorporating blockchain technology into existing intellectual property systems, as well as the procedures required to put in place a worldwide blockchain-based IP framework.
